Summary

I've been fortunate to make a living in the entertainment industry in various capacities for the past 30 years. Most of those have been as a storyboard artist, having worked on hundreds of commercials as well as a dozen or so films. In the late 90s-early 2000s, I was employed for several years as a visual effects artist, working on feature films for such studios as Rhythm and Hues.

In 2003, I directed and produced the award winning documentary, "Frazetta-Painting with Fire" which covers the life story of the most famous fantasy artist to ever live, Frank Frazetta. It's hard to look at the portfolios of all of these incredibly talented artists here on ArtStation and not see the influence Frazetta has had upon them. He touched thousands upon thousands of lives and continues to do so. I'll be forever grateful for having spent such valuable time with him whilst filming the documentary.

In January of 2024 I finally stopped procrastinating and started a YouTube channel with a friend and colleague of mine called "Beyond the Process" where we explore the art of storytelling via interviews with professional creatives in the fields of film, comics and video games. We also produce process "tutorial" videos to help artists just starting out. I'd be honored if you'd go take a look.

Some of my passions include mountain biking, photography, clothing design and all things Italian. In fact, at the age of 47, I taught myself to speak Italian and now do so fluently. Having finally obtained my Italian citizenship back in 2021 after a 5 year process, I must admit it comes in handy ;-)
